John E. Deak

 

W.B. John E. Deak, 32°

 

Worshipful Brother John Edward Deak was born in Dayton, Ohio.

Worshipful Brother met and married his wife Peggy and have been married for 44 years. John and Peggy have three children, Rodney, a Past Master of West Milton Lodge, Richard, also a Past Master of West Milton Lodge and a Past Worthy Patron of Sharon Chapter 132 O.E.S., and Gina also a Past Worthy Matron of Sharon Chapter 132.

 

John is retired from General Motors with 33 years of service. He has been a volunteer Fireman since 1984, and is still actively employed at Rush Expediting.

John was raised a Master Mason in 2001 at the Grand Master's Class.

Other Masonic bodies John is a member of: Valley of Dayton, AASR, Antioch Shrine Brass Band.

Past Worthy Patron of Sharon Chapter 132 O.E.S.

John and Peggy currently have 8 grand children and reside in Phillipsburg, Ohio

Joseph T. Williams, 32°

Brother Williams was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Joseph petition to become a member of West Milton Lodge in January, 2009 and received his Master Mason degree on May 14, 2009.

Brother Williams has shown outstanding interest in learning everything he can about this great Masonic Fraternity.

Brother Williams has worked at the Meijer Distribution facility in Tipp City, Ohio for the past four years.

Other Masonic affiliations: In September, 2009 he joined Franklin Chapter 24, Royal Arch Masons, also in September he became a Royal and Select Mason in Franklin Chapter 14.  Brother Williams is a member of Coleman Commandery 17, an holds the office of Junior Warden, Order of the Knights Templar.

In November, 2009 Brother Williams became a 32° Scottish Rite Mason at the Valley of Dayton.

On November 3, 2011 Brother Williams was elected as Junior Warden of West Milton Lodge 577.

Terry L. Wahl

Terry L. Wahl, 32°

Brother Wahl was born in Dayton, Ohio.  Terry became a member of West Milton Lodge and received his Master Mason degree on October 14, 2009.

Brother Wahl has shown outstanding interest in learning everything he can about this great Masonic Fraternity.

Brother Wahl works at the Workfloweone for the past one and a half years.

Other Masonic affiliations: Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton, Shriners International, Antioch Temple, Dayton,  Movper Grotto, Khana Shaher, Springfield, Ohio Lodge of Research, The Philalethes Society, The Masonic Society.

On November 3, 2011 Brother Wahl was elected as Senior Deacon of West Milton Lodge 577.

Roger L. Gotthardt

R. W. B. Roger L. Gotthardt, 33° PM, PDDGM,  
 

Right Worshipful Brother Gotthardt grew up in Dayton, Ohio and attended Northridge High School. 

After High School Brother Gotthardt  worked at Delco Moraine Division of General Motors in 1967.  In 1983 he was appointed by the United Auto Workers (U.A.W.) International Union as an Employee Assistance Counselor.  Brother Gotthardt was elected as President of the Masonic Squaremans Club, the oldest Masonic Club in General Motors in 1992. He  retired from General Motors after 32 years in 1998.

R.W.B. Gotthardt's Masonic Career started in 1986 there he received his Master Mason Degree in December.  He joined the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite in 1987 and worked in various degrees. R.W.B. Gotthardt has received all 32 Scottish  Rite Degrees in November, 2003. 

In 1987 He was elected as Junior Deacon of West Milton Lodge, and progressed through the officers line and was installed as Worshipful Master of the Lodge on December 7, 1991. 

R.W.B. Gotthardt has held several positions in the Lodge as Lodge Education Officer, Trustee, Endowment Committee, Finance Committee, Flag Committee, Grievance Committee,  Investment Committee, Ritual Committee.

In January 1999  R.W.B. Gotthardt built and maintains this website, the first Masonic Website in the Great Third District for West Milton Lodge. In November, 2009 elected Webmaster of the Valley of Dayton AASR website.

After serving as Master he was elected Secretary in November 1992 and holds that office to date.  Appointed as District Representative for the Ohio Secretary Association in 1998.  On October, 2011 R.W.B. Gotthardt was elected as Secretary of the year, by the Grand Lodge of Ohio.

In October 2000, Right Worshipful Brother Gotthardt was appointed as District Deputy Grand Master by Most Worshipful Brother Jack L. Allen, Grand Master of Mason in Ohio.

He was also appointed to serve on the Grand Lodge Committee on Education in 2003 and was appointed as Regional Education Officer for District 3 in 2004. In 2008 was appointed to the Grand Lodge Scholarship Committee for the 3rd Masonic District.

In April, 2002 R. W. B. Gotthardt was appointed to the Miami Council Prince of Jerusalem line as Master of Ceremonies at the Valley of Dayton Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite where he holds the elected position of Sovereign Prince. On August 30, 2011 R.W.B. Gotthardt received the 33˚ in Chicago.

In June, 2009 R.W.B. Gotthardt was appointed as Masonic Trial Commissioner for District 3.

Other Masonic bodies R. W. B. Gotthardt is a member of  are: Sharon Chapter 132, Order of the Eastern Star, Franklin 24, Royal Arch Masons, is a life member of the Irish Council 67 Knight Masons, Alpha Council 97 Allied Masonic Degrees and held the position of Sovereign Master in 2011.  Brother Gotthardt is a member of the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels and a member of the West Milton Fraternal Order of Eagles.

R. W. B. Gotthardt resides in Englewood, Ohio.

William G. O'Brien

W. B. William G. O'Brien, 32°, PM, M.S.A.

Worshipful Brother O'Brien was born in Dayton in 1936. Attended High School at Colonel White, served in the Untied States Air Force from 1954 to 1957.

Bill worked for Delco Moraine, Division of General Motors, and served as a Health and Safety Representative. Brother O'Brien was active on the  U. A. W. Legislative Committee and the Election Committee and retired in 1999 after 35 years.

Worshipful Brother O'Brien is very active in West Milton and Miami County.  He was elected in November, 2005 to serve as a Union Township Trustee for Miami County. Bill is also a member of the West Milton Planning Board, the West Milton Board of Adjustments, and the West Milton Community Chest.

Worshipful Brother  O'Brien has been a Master Mason and a member of West Milton Lodge for 30 years and served as Worshipful Master in 2005.  Bill is also a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton, Irish Council 67 Knight Masons. 

Worshipful Brother was Awarded the Meritorious Service Award in 2008 from the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and currently holds the office of Orator in the Consistory line.  

Bill and Linda have been married for 45 years and reside in West Milton.
 

 

Chaplain
Richard W. Deak

W.B. Richard W. Deak, 32°, PM

W.B. Deak was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1965. He currently works at Rush Transportation and Logistics for 21 years.

Worshipful Brother Deak's Masonic career began in 2003. W.B. Deak has served as Deacons, Wardens, and was elected Worshipful Master in 2007.

W.B. Deak is a Past President of the Third District Officers Association. Currently serves as President of the Antioch Shrine Brass Band and is a Past Secretary of the Brass Band.  He is Worthy Patron of Sharon Chapter 132 and a Past Worthy Patron.

W.B. Deak was appointed to the Prince of Jerusalem line and holds the position of  Master of Ceremonies.

Richard and his daughter Christina currently reside in Union, Ohio.

John A. Hamann

Worshipful Brother Hamann was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1956.

Brother Hamann works at ATW Automation as an Engineer for 26 years.

John started his Masonic Career in 1985 after being raised a Master Mason.  John has held the offices of Steward, Junior and Senior Deacon, Junior and Senior Warden and in 2011 was elected as Worshipful Master of West Milton Lodge.

W.B. Hamann is a member of the Valley of Dayton AASR where he helps in the 15 and 16 degrees. 

He is serving as Vice-President of the Third District Officers Association.

W.B. Hamann has 5 children and 11 Grandchildren and for 25 years served as an Ohio High School Athletic Track and Field Official.

Rodney L. Deak

Worshipful Brother Rodney is a 1983 graduate from Northmont High School. Attended Sinclair Community College for Drafting and Design Technology.

Worshipful Brother Deak works for All Service Plastic Molding as a Quality Control Coordinator and is a Certified ISO 9001/QS9002/TS 16949 Internal Auditor.

Worshipful Brother Deak is also a member of Northmont Band Boosters, a volunteer "Pit Dad" for the Marching Band and Winter Guard activities.  A Co-Chairperson for the Winter Guard fundraising committee.

Worshipful Brother Deak was raised a Master Mason on March 29, 2003 at the Grand Masters Class, and was elected to serve as Worshipful Master December 1, 2007. 

He currently holds the office as Lodge Educational Officer. Worshipful Brother Deak is also a member of the Valley of Dayton Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite 32º  and performs in the 15th and 16th degrees.

Gary L. Johns


Gary L. Johns
, 32°

Gary was born in Piqua, Ohio in 1948. Brother Johns worked at Delphi Harrison, Division of General Motors for 32 years and retired in 1999.

Gary and his wife Geraidine have two children, Eric and Sara, and two grandchildren, Xander and Liam.

Brother Johns Masonic career began in 2009 when he was raised a Master Mason.

On November 3, 2011 Gary was appointed as Senior Deacon.

Brother Johns also belongs to the Valley of Dayton A.A.S.R.

 

 

Junior Steward
Richard J. Reser

Richard J. Reser, 32°

Brother Reser is a graduate of Valley View High School. After Graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army where he still serves in a reserve capacity today.

He is a graduate of the police Academy in 1992, he was employed as a police officer for the Jefferson Township Police Department in 1995. Brother Reser left as a patrol sergeant to start a new career at the Montgomery County Sheriff's office in Dayton.

Brother Reser was Raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in March, 2004 and currently serves as Marshal.

Brother Reser is also a member of the Valley of Dayton Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, York Rite and Sharon Chapter 132, Order of Eastern Star.

Richard and his wife Gina have five childrenand reside in Union, Ohio.

Michael L. Pearson

Michael Pearson, 32°

 

Brother Michael Pearson was born in Dayton, Ohio and attended school at Milton -Union and Montgomery County Joint Vocational School.

In 1979 he married his wife Amanda . They have three children and nine grandchildren.

He served his community as an active member of the West Milton Fire Company for 14 years, served as an officer of the West Milton Jaycees and as chaplain and trustee for theWest Milton Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

He aided with dog training for rescue, drug seizure and missing persons for various police and sheriff departments.

He became a licensed Home Inspector through University of Akron.

He was raised in Beaver Valley Lodge# 753 through the one day course on April 9 2005. Affiliated to West Milton Lodge in 2009.

He was affiliated with Royal Arch Xenia #36, Chapter Wright #96, Commandry Nathaniel Greene # 81 .On April 20,2010 he became a 32o of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite .Valley of Dayton

He is currently employed at Southshore Companies.
